The Vaughan BS240P Japanese-style Bear Saw cuts on the pull stroke. This allows for thinner blades' class='desclinks'>blades which remove less material, making sawing easier, faster and more accurate.

The saw's blade is made from spring steel that is plated for rust resistance. It is interchangeable with other Bear Saw blades' class='desclinks'>blades and locks securely, yet can be easily disassembled for convenient storage. The specially ground, triple edged teeth are impulse hardened to retain sharpness.
